Open Friday: A Local-First Personal AI Assistant for Windows
Many personal AI tools are chat interfaces or cloud services with limited access to the desktop. Open Friday is a local-first personal AI assistant for Windows, developed by Sunil Kemadiya at Devoids, designed for practical day-to-day computer use.
It combines modular skills, selective memory, optional voice, scheduling and calendar context, and a desktop agent that can plan, act, and verify steps on your PC.
Capabilities
You interact through the Control Center. Friday routes requests to chat, research, memory, files, tasks, or computer use (vision or hybrid UIA). Everyday settings are managed in Systems — owner profile, preferences, and camera options.
The assistant’s tone may reference classic on-screen aides; the product focus is capability. Persona guidance is documented in docs/PERSONA.md.

| Memory | Local searchable memory (Chroma + embeddings) |
